At this ‘green’ talk and networking opportunity, John Paul de Quay will lead an exploration of the connection between society and environment, past, present and future, and the importance of an imaginative guiding vision in the face of our ecological crisis. We will consider the role of faith and explore what vision Haslemere has for the future of our town.

John Paul de Quay is the director of The Journey to 2030, a lay-run project which works with the Catholic Church to help its parishes dream of and build a better future for all. Its aims include, amongst others:

• To promote unity in action, asking all people to use their varied skills and influence to make a difference.

• To especially encourage community building and a sense of sharing.

The Hall opens at 7pm, with refreshments, before the talk at 7.30. There will also be an interval.
