Overview
During this course we will explore the intricate lines, shapes, and subtle movements found in insects, focusing on bees, butterflies, and other small woodland creatures. We’ll study insect forms through symmetry, proportion, colour blending, and layered oil pastel techniques, building skills through focused studies. Each week develops texture, pattern, and fine mark making. By the end of the course you will have completed a series of ‘bug studies’, with the opportunity to build these images into a collaged final piece. With a maximum of eight students per class, you’ll enjoy focused guidance and a warm, supportive learning environment designed to nurture both confidence and creativity. *All necessary materials and equipment will be provided by the studio, just bring your creativity! *
