On Saturday 26th April, we invite you to be part of one of the most important events in our club’s calendar — our VE Day 80th Anniversary Celebration.
As a club that has stood at the heart of this community for nearly 100 years, it’s not just about looking back — it’s about celebrating our veterans and our future. It is an opportunity to learn about Beacon Hill and Hindhead's experiences during the war and to learn about those people from our villages who fought in the war, too.
🎖️ What’s happening on the day?
Live re-enactments & WW2 vehicles
Grayshot Fire Brigade with their fire engine for the children
Try-it sessions with our local sports teams
The Rhythm & Groove Big Band live from 3 pm
The Mornington Crescent Band taking the stage in the evening
A pop-up museum in the club featuring artefacts and stories from our local area
The Village Hall transformed into a 1940s-style cinema, showing award-winning films donated by the Imperial War Museum
It’s going to be a day to remember.
