Those that were lucky enough to enjoy the recent production of Kiss me Kate by the Haslemere Players are probably still smiling at the memory! It was a fantastically entertaining production. However, what many of you may not know, is that the theatre company kindly donated 10 complimentary tickets to the Haslemere Food Bank to pass on to their clients.
Jo Mackay, Chair of the Haslemere Food Bank, said, 'It was so generous of the Haslemere Players to donate tickets for us to give out. We distributed them to three different families and they all thoroughly enjoyed their much deserved night out at the theatre. It was an incredibly thoughtful gesture and much appreciated by everyone.'
Following on from the generosity of the Haslemere Players, the Haslemere Thespians are now following suit. They are kindly donating a number of free tickets to the Haslemere Food Bank for their upcoming performances of Frozen. These are taking place on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th May. Thanks to their generosity, food bank clients will also be able to enjoy this wonderful story of true love and acceptance between the two sisters - Anna and Elsa.
Jo Mackay said, 'We know that some of the young children whose families use the food bank will absolutely love seeing Frozen. It's such an iconic show with brilliant songs. A huge thank you to the Haslemere Thespians and we wish them every luck with the upcoming performances.'
If you would like to enjoy the upcoming Frozen show, tickets cost £10. There are three performances at Hammer Hall (Gu27 3QW) on:
Friday 9th May at 7.30pm
Saturday 10th May 2.30pm
Saturday 10th May 6.30pm
