Haslemere Playgrounds

Lion Lane playground (photo above) is located beside Marks & Spencer food hall at GU27 1DE - free car parking on Lion Lane, at Tesco for 2 hours or paid at M&S. The Lion's Den Cafe is located very near by.


Town Meadow playground (photo below) is located on the corner of Lower Street & Tanners Lane at GU27 2PZ - free parking on road beside entrance or paid at Tanners Lane car park.


Haslemere Recreation Ground playground is located at GU27 2NL - free parking is available off Scotlands Lane at the Recreation Ground car park. The Recreation Ground also has free to use tennis courts, cricket practise nets, football, rugby & cricket pitches in season and is a wonderful place to run & play!

Camelsdale Recreation Ground has a playground, parking is located at GU27 3RR.
Camelsdale Tea Room is very close to the playground for drinks, meals & snacks.

Interview with Ian Rowley, owner of The Haslemere Bookshop The Haslemere Bookshop is an independent bookshop at the heart of Haslemere High Street selling new and second-hand books, and cards. Did you face any challenges when setting up the business? There has been a bookshop on the High Street for many years. When I took over the shop from Ronald Timms in 2014, I had no idea how a bookshop worked; fortunately the staff (all friends or family) did! Since then, through their hard work, the business has been transformed. Not only does the shop look very different but we are online, more community focussed and our second-hand book section rejuvenated.
