This talk is about being a Film and TV composer today, how it works, what is required, the challenges and the rewards.

Each subject will be accompanied by examples of Guy’s work on screen, including The Crown, Silver Skates, The Boy and The Octopus and high-end commercials. Guy will show sketches, demos and final recordings as well as footage from recording sessions at Abbey Road and Synchron in Vienna.

Guy will talk extensively about the process of creating the music; the initial brief, how he approaches the work, his studio set up, writing, playing, recording and delivering the final works.

He will also cover working with agents, publishers, producers and directors. There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions on any of the subjects covered.
