
Nominations are now open for the 2026 Haslemere Volunteer Awards
This is Haslemere recently met members of the Haslemere Volunteer Awards Panel. This is the committee that runs the annual Haslemere Volunteer Awards which are awarded in March every year and run following Haslemere’s Annual Town Meeting. These awards were first launched by Sir Ray Tindle more than 30 years ago when he donated medals and ribbons to recognise outstanding service in the Haslemere community. Over the past 20 years, 153 volunteers have received this honour. Last year’s awards were granted to volunteers in arts, sport, sustainability, the environment, health and more. The Panel is now inviting nominations for this prestigious Haslemere Award.
If you know someone who has gone above and beyond for the Haslemere community or surrounding villages, please consider nominating them. The Haslemere Volunteer Award is open to anyone with nominations and seconders encouraged from local organisations or members of the general public It is not open to councillors or those that have been honoured with a national recognition.
Chairman Christopher Ashton-Jones mentioned to This is Haslemere:
“We ask that nominees will have volunteered for several years in more than one capacity for outstanding voluntary service. We aim to recognise individuals for their contribution and dedication to our community.”
