Nathan Detroit is desperately seeking a location for his infamous floating crap game while trying to stay one step ahead of the law - and his long-suffering fiancée of 14 years, Miss Adelaide, who is growing impatient for a wedding ring.  To raise the money he needs, Nathan bets high-roller Sky Masterson that he can't take the strait-laced Sarah Brown, a devoted Salvation Army sergeant, on a date.  But when Sky sets out to win the wager, he finds himself falling genuinely in love - and Sarah may not be as immune to his charms as she first appears.
