Whether you'd like to learn how to repair well-loved books or create your own handmade journals and sketchbooks, this beginner-friendly session is a great place to start.
You'll be introduced to essential bookbinding tools and materials, including awls, bookbinding needles and waxed thread, before trying out three simple binding techniques:
3-Hole Pamphlet Stitch
Japanese Stab Binding
Simple Coptic Stitch
Along the way, you'll also learn some basic book repair skills, including techniques for dealing with loose pages and damaged spines.
No previous experience is required, and all abilities are welcome.
