The Weaving House was the heart of the Haslemere Peasant Industries at the turn of the last century. The group was hugely influenced by William Morris, John Ruskin and the Arts and Crafts Movement ... teaching local girls the skill of weaving, as an alternative to going into service.

 

Sarah Tyssen brought her weaving business to the house in 2007 and is very pleased to continue the weaving tradition here.

 

Our Seasonal Pop Up will showcase friends who make unique hand crafted products - including woven textiles, knitted textiles, ceramics, leather, candles, jewellery, woodwork....and more!

 

We hope you will come and join us for some seasonal cheer....and maybe a bit of Christmas shopping!
