The combined churches of Haslemere will be opening an all-age, interactive prayer space in Haslemere Methodist Church over the week of the VE commemorations on the theme of  'Pray for Peace' to coincide with events taking place on Lion Green, opposite the church that weekend.

They would like to invite everyone to visit the space from Tuesday 6th - Friday 9th May between 10 a.m. and midday, or on Saturday 10th May between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to light a candle, give thanks for those who served in WW1 or WW2, and pray for our world in this current difficult season of conflict. They are welcoming visitors who wish to pop in for just a couple of minutes as well as those who wish to linger longer.

The prayer room will contain many different activities designed to help people to consider these topics in fresh ways and we hope that everyone who comes in will leave feeling encouraged and refreshed.

Refreshments will be available throughout the opening hours.

The Haslemere Methodist Church is at 5-7 Junction Pl, Haslemere GU27 1LE (opposite the Esso garage).
