HASLEMERE FRINGE FESTIVAL 2026 LAUNCHES BATTLE OF THE BANDS!


The Haslemere Fringe Festival 2026 is excited to announce the Battle of the Bands competition with the debut of Fringe Rising, a brand-new grassroots opportunity for unsigned bands. The Fringe has always been dedicated to discovering and supporting local emerging musical talent since it began over a decade ago.


The winners of the Battle of the Bands competition will perform on the main stage on Lion Green at this uber popular three-day Fringe weekend: Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th July 2026. Previous Headliners at the Fringe over the years have included; Blue, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Daniel Bedingfield, The Feeling, T’Pau, The Lottery Winners, Scouting for Girls, Haircut 100, Toploader, The Real Thing and many more!


Contestants will perform three original songs and one cover song (chosen by the festival) in front of a panel of industry judges. Everyone is welcome to come along to the heats and enjoy the musical sessions! Doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start – Forest Community Centre, Bordon on Saturday, 15th November and The Shottermill Club, Haslemere on Saturday, 29th November. The successful acts will advance to the final heat which will be held in early 2026.


The Haslemere Fringe is a not-for-profit, family-friendly festival run entirely by volunteers. It takes place every two years on Lion Green in the heart of Haslemere and has something for everyone of all ages and stages in life - including amazing Headliners, 50 live bands, emerging new talent, dance, comedy, poetry, children’s entertainment, local artisans and lots more.
