Monday 23 June will see the first meeting of a new Bereavement Cafe, a safe space giving anyone who has experienced loss the opportunity to connect with others.

This cafe comes on the back of the ongoing popularity of the Bereavement Cafe at St Alban’s Church in Hindhead. The organisers of this new cafe have worked closely with Jane Saunders, director of Crossways Counselling service, who will be speaking at the first meeting on the grieving process.

The cafe is a free, drop-in event which will be open every fourth Monday of the month (starting on Monday 23rd June) from 10-12 in the Methodist Church Cafe. It aims to offer a free, safe space for those who have experienced loss in their lives, a place to meet with others who are also on a bereavement journey for mutual support and encouragement.

For those who may like to offer help with the cafe, Liza and Jane would welcome help with baking or serving refreshments. Alternatively, if you can help provide a listening ear, your support would also be very welcome.
