Rosemary Laird has lived in Haslemere for 18 years with her second husband whom she met online. In March 2025, she published A Woman of Fortitude, her colourful life story with all its ups and downs, which is told with empathy and openness.

The story tells how Rosemary uses positivity, determination and decisiveness to solve the problems life brings. She travels the world with her first husband who works in the oil industry but her marriage ends. Marriage breakup is told with heart breaking intensity but internet dating follows which brings humour and fun to the story.

In December 2025, the audio version recorded at Lark Recording Studios in Godalming which Rosemary narrates herself, was released and is downloadable from Audible, Amazon, Spotify and other platforms. Her book is available from The Haslemere Bookshop. Three copies are available to borrow from Haslemere Library.

Rosemary reads extracts of her book on Instagram as rosemarylaird13.
