Surrey County Council has published a draft Local Nature Recovery Strategy – a new plan to protect and restore nature across the county.

From ancient woodlands and chalk grasslands to the Surrey Hills and historic parklands, Surrey is home to some of the most valued landscapes in the country. But nature is under pressure, and the county needs a joined-up plan to help it recover.

This is the second stage of consultation, building on feedback from last year. They are now inviting residents, businesses and community groups to help shape the final strategy.

The consultation is open until Friday 25 September. Take part and explore the draft strategy here.
