Brand new pop up shop in Haslemere

 

A brand new pop up shop will be held on the 7th September 2024 at Hasleworks in Haslemere. The event will showcase female-founded fashion businesses. Already confirmed as attending are Lulio London, Love Calixta, Hoboko Clothes, Iris and I Jewellery and In June clothing. All are exciting, upcoming brands created by female entrepreneurs.

 

The event is the brainchild of 18 year old local student Lucy Mackay. Lucy completed her A-levels this Summer and has accepted a place to study marketing at Exeter University in September 2024.

 

When asked where the inspiration for the event came from, Lucy said, 'I set up Lulio London this Summer selling handmade shorts and accessories. I spent a lot of time trying to find suitable pop ups to showcase my clothing and realised there simply weren't any locally for my target market. Pop ups have seen huge popularity in London over the last few months but there is no equivalent locally. As a result, I decided to create my own. I'm super excited to have other young female brands involved. It means there will be a variety of fashion styles on sale making the event suitable for women of all ages.'

 

The event has a number of big-name sponsors including Jimmy's Iced Coffee, Spacemasks, Neowtr, Dr Paw Paw and Love Corn. The first 25 people who come will receive a goodie bag filled with products from these brands and more.

 

Lucy hopes that the event will be a success so that it can be repeated regularly throughout the year.
