Fun Palaces are all about celebrating local skills, creativity, and innovation by bringing people together to share and learn. The aim is to create a space where everyone can participate, whether it's to try something new or share a skill.

 

What Can You Expect at Haslemere’s Fun Palace?

We’ve got an amazing array of free workshops lined up for all ages and interests, including:

• Dance Classes: Get moving with some fun and energetic dance lessons.

• Ukulele Lessons: Always wanted to learn an instrument? Try your hand at the ukulele!

• Coding Taster Session: Dive into the world of coding with an intro to Scratch programming.

• Visible Mending: Learn how to mend your clothes in style and make sustainability part of your wardrobe.

• Card Making: Unleash your creativity and make a unique greeting card for someone special.

• Sewing and Crochet: Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, join us for a hands-on tutorial.

• Macrame and Beaded Bracelet Making: Craft beautiful creations with your own hands.

• Group Singing Lessons: Warm up those vocal cords and join us for a fun group singing session.

• Bobbin Lace Making: Try your hand at this beautiful traditional craft.

All-Day Fun Drop-in Activities:

For those who prefer a bit of flexibility, we’re also offering drop-in activities running throughout the day:

• Duplo Station: Perfect for little builders to let their imaginations run wild.

• Badge Making: Get creative and design your own personalised badge.

• Retro PC Game Challenge: Feeling nostalgic? Try your hand at Pac-Man, Asteroids, or Space Invaders and see if you can top the high score!
