Eloise Carter needs your vote to make it on the Road to Victorious
Local songwriter Eloïse Carter needs the support of Haslemere residents to achieve her dreams. She has reached the final four of the Road to Victorious competition. This is an impressive achievement in itself, as Eloise has been chosen out of hundreds of applications. And it's certainly an exciting opportunity for her. The winner will earn a five-festival UK tour, including Victorious, Tramlines, Truck, Y Not and Kendal Calling, culminating on the Castle Stage at Victorious Festival. Additional prizes include studio recording time, songwriting sessions, professional photography and full touring support.
Originally from Haslemere, Eloïse began performing at 15 and was strongly supported by the Haslemere Fringe Festival. She later moved to Southampton for university, where her solo project evolved into a full live band and her profile grew rapidly.
Since launching her project in early 2023, Eloïse has worked with promoters including Fitz Promotions, Close Up and Psych, played sold-out shows, and supported artists such as Prima Queen and The Native. She has performed at venues including The Boileroom, Camden Assembly and The Wedgewood Rooms. Eloïse started this year off strong too, headlining Icebreaker festival.
In 2025, Eloïse released EP singles ‘No One Like You’ and ‘The Moment’, developed with mentorship from Neil Simpson (Catfish and the Bottlemen), mixed by Michael Smith, and mastered by Andy ‘Hippy’ Baldwin (Sea Girls, Oasis). A sold-out Heartbreakers show was followed by a headline at The Joiners in September 2025, doubling the venue size.
Blending indie folk and alternative rock, Eloïse delivers emotionally direct songwriting with a dynamic live sound. Her work has received support from BBC Introducing and Future Hits Radio, with further releases and live shows planned throughout 2025.
If you would like to watch Eloise in action, the live final takes place at The Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth, on 6th March at 7:30pm. Tickets are £5.00, with in-person votes counting five times more than online votes.
If you can't make the final but would like to show Eloise your support, then head online and cast your vote. You can listen to her music on Spotify.
