Last month, together with Haslemere Library, we celebrated a whole year of sharing, borrowing, and saving with our beloved Library of Things!

We kicked off on October 6th, 2023, during Libraries Green Week, and we’re so proud of everything we’ve achieved since then.

So, what’s the Library of Things all about? It’s a fantastic community initiative that lets you borrow those “once-in-a-while” items – like gardening tools, power tools, or even numbered cake tins – instead of buying them! It’s kinder to your wallet and the planet.

How does it work? Just pop in, borrow a “thing” for a small fee of £3-5 (plus a refundable deposit), and keep it for up to 2 weeks. All hire fees go straight back into maintaining and adding more handy things to our collection!
