Calling All Local Businesses in Haslemere and Surrounds
Are you a business owner in Haslemere who could spare just a few hours - or even up to a week - to make a real difference in someone’s life?
CAP Job Club Haslemere is launching an exciting new 8-week course in April designed to empower local job seekers with the confidence, skills, and motivation they need to thrive in the workplace.
Being unemployed can be hard to navigate on your own, but being part of the job club means members face the challenge head on with other people in similar situations and can encourage each other every step of the way. Hosted at the Haslemere Methodist Church the course will be run by trained volunteers every Tuesday morning at no cost to its members.
How you can help:
Being unemployed can be hard to navigate on your own, so the support of the community makes a huge difference. Could you give local job-seekers...
One hour to share industry insights over coffee?
One day to show what a day-in-the-life looks like?
One week to provide valuable hands-on work experience?
By opening your doors, you can help individuals:
Build confidence
Develop practical skills
Gain valuable workplace experience
Take meaningful steps toward employment
The Job Club programme provides each participant with a dedicated coach, supporting them as they improve communication, create standout CVs, and develop strong interview techniques. The Job Club wil work closely with local businesses and participants to match the right individual to each business and support both parties every step of the way.
Opportunities could include:
Administration | Retail | Hairdressing | Service industries | Gardening | Building | Engineering ... and more!
Just a few hours of someone's time can have a lasting impact.
