Help Needed

Are you looking for a new challenge, a chance to give back to your community, and an opportunity to develop valuable life skills?

We’re currently recruiting adult volunteers to join the Army Cadet Force (ACF) -  one of the UK’s leading youth organisations.

As an ACF adult volunteer, you’ll be part of a team that inspires and supports young people, helping them build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills that will last a lifetime. In return, you’ll gain access to a wide range of nationally recognised qualifications, including first aid, adventurous training, and leadership courses - all while having incredible experiences along the way.

Volunteering with the ACF isn’t just about training and qualifications - it’s about adventure, camaraderie, and making a real difference. Whether it’s taking part in expeditions, learning new skills, or supporting cadets on their journey, you’ll create unforgettable memories and forge lifelong friendships.

No prior military experience is required - just enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to learn. Whatever your background, you’ll be welcomed into a diverse and supportive community where you can challenge yourself and grow as a person.

If you’re ready to do something extraordinary, make a difference in young people’s lives, and discover what you’re capable of, we’d love to hear from you.

Volunteers need to be aged 20 years or more and have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years. Volunteers need to be kind, patient and responsible, have a good level of fitness and to be able to understand young people and their needs. Prior military experience is not required, nor are relevant skills such as flying or gliding. All the training you need will be provided as will uniforms. While volunteers don’t get paid, if volunteers progress to be an officer or non-commissioned officer, they can claim for up to 28 days’ volunteer allowance.
