The league of friends works for the benefit of the Haslemere Hospital
About
The League of Friends was formed in 1952. It helps the Haslemere Hospital by providing additional equipment, improving facilities and campaigning for better services for patients and staff. The Haslemere & District Community Hospital serves a population of over 40,000, including residents of Haslemere, Liphook, Grayshott, Witley, Fernhurst and beyond. It provides the community with a minor injuries unit, a blood testing unit, two wards (one for male and one for female patients), ultrasound and X-ray facilities, a full range of physiotherapy, OT and podiatry services and out patient clinics. The role of the League of Friends is to raise the profile of the hospital, to raise funds, to act as a focus between hospital and community and to act as a pressure group to prevent losses of essential community services. They also run a trolley shop in the hospital wards, provide an annual newsletter and provide regular newsletter updates to members.
Help Needed
The League of Friends relies on the support of the community and is always pleased to hear from those who wish to join, to become a volunteer, or indeed serve on the Committee.
