About
Haslewey is an independent registered charity and community centre at the heart of Haslemere. Offering a warm and friendly welcome, we provide a place where people of all ages can meet, take part in activities, access local services and feel part of the community. There is a wide variety of regular classes, activities and events taking place throughout the week, alongside our popular Haslewey Café, which is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 2.30pm. Haslewey is also home to a number of valuable community services, including a community Post Office, hair salon and podiatry service, as well as providing space for other health, wellbeing and support services. As an independent charity, Haslewey generates much of the income needed to operate the centre through its café, room hire, activities, events and other services, alongside fundraising, donations and grant support. This income enables us to maintain the centre and continue providing services and facilities for the local community.

Help Needed
Our wonderful volunteers are at the heart of Haslewey, and we are always delighted to welcome new people to the team. There are many ways to get involved, whether you would like to volunteer regularly or simply provide occasional cover. Full training and support are provided. Opportunities include helping on Reception, welcoming visitors and assisting with enquiries and appointments; supporting the Haslewey Café with serving customers, preparing the dining room, making drinks or helping in the kitchen; and assisting with fundraising events and activities. We also welcome volunteers with practical skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and general maintenance, who may be able to lend a hand with the ongoing care of our community centre. As a thank you for their support, Haslewey volunteers receive a 10% discount in the café.
