Helping Hounds has been re-homing dogs for over a decade.
How they work:
Helping Hounds re-home owner-surrendered dogs and strays abandoned not just in the UK but also as far afield as Romania, Greece and even Egypt. They have kennels in Grayshott which are manned by an experienced group of volunteers. Whilst ultimately their aim is to find long term loving homes for all their animals, they're in a hurry to do so. Instead, they prefer to give their dogs the best possible start in their new life. That means having them at their kennels in Grayshott for as long as it takes to build up their trust, confidence and social skills.
How to help:
Without volunteers, Haslemere Hounds simply couldn't exist. Volunteers are needed to man their kennels but also to take care of all the administration jobs, technology and, of course, the all important adoption applications. Volunteers are also needed to help with their fundraising events.
Helping Hounds is a registered charity, no 1200394.
