Hi I am Amanda

I am the ART of Healing creator, initially my business was Amanda Riley Therapies, which expanded into the “ART” of Healing. I came to the therapy world after having moved away from the city working life and wanting more. My father dying of cancer sent me on a path of self discovery and illness, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2007. In all the journey of this experience I have learnt depths of emotions and discovered therapies and therapists that have supported me. Armed with this wealth of knowledge I am now ready to share with you.

In 2008 I qualified in Swedish Therapeutic Massage and continued my learnings from this point, starting my experience working with Cancer patients, I also worked with patients on dialysis. During this time I also ran a busy practice from home in London and in Surrey, working with pain, tight shoulders, necks and the normal everyday stresses and strains.

I offer a wide range of complementary therapies to support your needs, all with a connection to the heart. Compassionate, caring and supportive I can help you with with everything from every day aches and pains to help with emotional problems. Radical Relaxation for your mind, body and soul. Listening and helping in whatever way you require. I am a qualified Massage Therapist, Reflexologist, Reiki Master, Bowen Therapist and a great listener!

Interview with Ian Rowley, owner of The Haslemere Bookshop The Haslemere Bookshop is an independent bookshop at the heart of Haslemere High Street selling new and second-hand books, and cards. Did you face any challenges when setting up the business? There has been a bookshop on the High Street for many years. When I took over the shop from Ronald Timms in 2014, I had no idea how a bookshop worked; fortunately the staff (all friends or family) did! Since then, through their hard work, the business has been transformed. Not only does the shop look very different but we are online, more community focussed and our second-hand book section rejuvenated.
