The annual Haslemere Sports Awards took place at Haslemere Hall on 9th October 2024.

These awards recognise the wonderful achievements and work of our local sports clubs and groups. 

There are awards for the club of the year, personality of the year, team of the year and many, many more.

Another award is the Young Volunteer of the year. Congratulations to this year’s winner - Scarlet Hunt from Bugs Netball.

We love seeing young people #volunteering to help others. It is so inspiring.

Massive congratulations to every single winner last night and to all those who weren’t winners on the night but who had been nominated. Sadly in life there can often only be one winner but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty more who deserve the same recognition.

As one member of the audience said:

"Brilliant evening that provided a snapshot of all the wonderful sporting opportunities for all, young and not so young in Haslemere and the surrounding area.

No one should ever say “there isn’t enough for young people to do”!!

On top of all the talent on show, I was particularly aware of the massive amount of volunteer involvement to make these activities possible.
