Meet Jo

May 17, 2021

Hi, I'm Jo....

.....social media expert and the face and founder of Social Jo.

I work with small, ambitious businesses like yours helping you to get the most out of your social media platforms by either taking them off your hands altogether or giving you the skills to manage them yourself.

Additionally, over the past two years, I have also built up a 2.4k community of followers on @surreymunchkins – an Instagram account dedicated to promoting what to do and where to go with the kids in SW Surrey. This has given me a unique insight into the parent market and has led to me specialising in working with businesses who sell products and services to support parents, children and babies.

I love the creativity and community that social media brings. But I also understand how tough it can be when you’re juggling work and a busy home.

That’s why my goal is to help you reduce social media overwhelm and claw back some much-needed screen/life balance.

Together we’ll cut through the confusion and create a clear plan so that you can build a loyal community of online followers and turn them into happy customers.

Whichever option you choose, you’ll never worry about what to post on social media again. Your weekends will be your own and your platforms will be filled with strategy-driven content that attracts your ideal customers.

I love working with small business owners in a 1:1 or group training scenario and offer a range of training and support packages to suit all needs and budgets. My aim is to leave you feeling inspired and excited about all you can achieve through your business’s social media, whilst taking away the overwhelm and giving you the confidence, you need.

Most popular, is my bespoke, 1:1 power hour (a one hour zoom or face to face session) - where I’ll tackle whatever you need - or get a broader overview with a series of training through my structured Social Media Fundamentals and Instagram & Facebook Best Practice sessions. Either way it is about finding what is right for you and your business, so if you feel you need some extra help or guidance, get in touch via my socials or hello@socialjo.co.uk and we can go from there.

Interview with Ian Rowley, owner of The Haslemere Bookshop The Haslemere Bookshop is an independent bookshop at the heart of Haslemere High Street selling new and second-hand books, and cards. Did you face any challenges when setting up the business? There has been a bookshop on the High Street for many years. When I took over the shop from Ronald Timms in 2014, I had no idea how a bookshop worked; fortunately the staff (all friends or family) did! Since then, through their hard work, the business has been transformed. Not only does the shop look very different but we are online, more community focussed and our second-hand book section rejuvenated.
