The
Water Rangers is a nationwide not-for-profit group focused on inspiring the public to become involved in collecting water data from their local rivers and lakes.
What they do:
More and more stories are coming out about how dirty our rivers are, so as we’re lucky enough in Haslemere to enjoy some of the tributaries of the River Wey, this is a great group to get involved with locally.
How they work:
The Haslemere Hub of the Water Rangers use specially designed test kits to test the River Wey and its tributaries on the last Sunday of every month. You can find out more about the work they do locally to test the water at www.riverweytrust.org.uk/hubs/haslemere/
How to help:
Water Rangers are always on the look out for more volunteers to join them at their Water Testing Sundays. No prior experience is needed.
