Haslemere Hall was built in 1913 and was gifted to the town by the daughter of the founder, Barclay Day Lewis, in 1919. The building is a fine example of the Arts & Crafts Movement. It is a fully equipped theatre, seating approximately 340 people within a main auditorium and in an upper balcony. It also boasts a fully licensed bar serving refreshments.
The Hall is run completely independently by a Board of Trustees. These are representative of the civil, religious and educational life of Haslemere.
How they work:
Today Haslemere Hall has a rich event diary of theatre productions, film showings, events via satellite & live music. As a multipurpose building it is also used for lectures, meetings etc. Please use the Haslemere Hall website for up to date information about what events are taking place. Alternatively, the box office is open Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 am and 1 pm.
How to help:
The Haslemere Hall relies on volunteers. There are a number of roles available.
