Perfect Father's Day Gift Ideas from our wonderful local businesses!

With father’s day very soon perhaps you haven’t found the perfect gift or treat yet? Worry not, The Virtual High Street, as always, has you covered!

 

We are passionate about supporting our local high street so here we give you ideas for those of you who want to browse our wonderful shops in town but we also feature lots of local online businesses too, we are so lucky to have such a range to choose from!

In the centre of Haslemere we have plenty of wonderful shops to browse for the perfect gift for Dad!

David’s Menswear at the north end of the High Street have a fabulous selection of clothes for men; perhaps a fancy new shirt or a smart pair of shorts for occasions planned for the summer would be a real treat for your Dad? Click & collect is available.


Sass & Spirit on West Street always have a wonderful range of funky & original gifts and they have some special items for Dads in store now. They offer click & collect and have an online store as well.


We all love Haslemere Bookshop, they have a brilliant selection of all genres and they never fail to make fantastic recommendations, you can also order any book they don’t have so that you can continue to shop local.


If your Dad is into DIY or gardening we know that R Miles & Sons on West Street will be able to recommend the perfect gift from their wide range of stock.

Clothing and lifestyle store Roxtons have their own online Father’s Day gift guide so that you can go in store and know exactly what you want to buy.


Seabright's Butchers can help you plan your perfect Father’s Day barbecue with meat ethically produced and all sourced locally, they also have a fantastic range of cheeses to choose from too and other interesting foodie gifts for Dad.

If your Dad likes a tipple why not think about buying locally produced drinks – The Village Spirit Collective not only sell their own unique gin, distilled in Hambledon, but also offer an experience where guests can view the distilling process and have the chance to create their own gin blend using botanicals.


The Garden Cider Company are doing their bit for the environment by using apples donated by local residents to make their hand crafted premium ciders and they also stock craft beer from local producers such as Langhams. If you are looking for something a little different how about a tour of The Garden Cider Company?

Interview with Ian Rowley, owner of The Haslemere Bookshop The Haslemere Bookshop is an independent bookshop at the heart of Haslemere High Street selling new and second-hand books, and cards. Did you face any challenges when setting up the business? There has been a bookshop on the High Street for many years. When I took over the shop from Ronald Timms in 2014, I had no idea how a bookshop worked; fortunately the staff (all friends or family) did! Since then, through their hard work, the business has been transformed. Not only does the shop look very different but we are online, more community focussed and our second-hand book section rejuvenated.
